The Florida Film Institute, in conjunction with the Miami Children's Museum, is opening its Film School XII at the Museum this Saturday with the Guest Appearance of Tavares Beverly, renowned Producer and Acting Coach.
This exciting and challenging 12-session filmmaking program is FREE to students from middle through high school and always attracts great creative young minds from all over South Florida. Film School XII Begins: Saturday, October 6, 2007 - 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Tavares opened the "Acting Like Crazy workshop" to help local talent get into the entertainment industry. He has provided workshops that combine improv and technique to promote overall personal development. He has lent his experience to hundreds of aspiring actors, directors and filmmakers. "Beverly Boy Productions" a Miami, L.A. based production company most recently has worked with the producers of the Mary Kate and Ashley series to bring a Disney style hip-hop kids feature film to Miami.
Each workshop will feature a highly experienced working professional who will provide an in-depth look at one of the following topics: script writing, location shooting, cinematography, acting on screen, lighting, directing, editing, sound, wardrobe, makeup and marketing. In addition to the aesthetic and technical basics of the discipline, the workshops address the business environment of the motion picture industry in order to realistically prepare the students for a career.
